If you’ve wanted simple and thoughtful reflections on how the fact that we are chosen in Christ applies to the process of childbirth, this book is a great introduction to that. Use each chapter to jumpstart a time of prayer and reflection as you think about your own time of pregnancy and birth (past or present) or consider how to walk with others through their experience.

I found this book so inspiring and hope-filled, a breath of fresh air for anyone wanting a more God-centred perspective on their pregnancy or new motherhood.
I especially liked that it considered both those times when our experiences go ‘well’ or ‘to plan’, but also those times when they don’t.

Without a doubt, the best book on birth I’ve ever read! There are more than enough books on the market telling you all the details of labor, pain control options, breathing, etc. But there are precious few (if any, other than this book) that walk you through the spiritual preparation of your heart for delivering a baby. This book is a gem because it gives your lined pages to journal and process what you are reading. Katherine has written a book that gets to the heart of being babies into the world- God Himself has created and chosen you for this task of birthing a baby.
Filled with Biblical affirmations to keep your heart and mind centered during labor, delivery, and recovery, this book is a gift to women preparing for the birth of a baby (regardless of delivery method; c-section moms are not left out!) or for those who have recently given birth and seek to process the experience through a biblical lens. Katherine also covers loss and grief for those who have lost a baby and/or experienced a traumatic birth. As someone who has experienced both, I deeply appreciate the thought and care she has put into addressing such sensitive topics. I cannot recommend this book enough!!!
